Advance warning to inform drivers to expect a change in the physical conditions of the road itself. "Left Lane Ends" is a pictrogram that alerts drivers to merge into the right lane as the right one will soon end. This may be a single sign or a series of signs up to several kilometres before the approaching change in road conditions.
